I <3 Pirates ;)
Jul. 21st, 2005 06:24 pmSo since at LEAST 3rd grade I've always had this thing for pirates. My Dad thinks I'm mad and is always trying to convince me that that would be like having a thing for terrorists but there you go. It's probably part of my random love for thieves and rogues. And after all, pirates are the bandits of the oceans ;) In any case before PotC came out I was waiting literally the 7 months when they announced it SOOO eagerly I couldn't get enough of anything piratey and when it did come out it quickly became one of my favorite movies ever. So really is it any wonder that I adore One Piece so much?
In any case I'm going crazy that only volumes 1-7 are out (out of 38 volumes in Japan and 250+ anime episodes) and while at the doctor's earlier today (AGAIN!!! 3rd day in a row I've been running myself ragged... good thing it's summer so I'm doing a bit better) I was re-reading that which IS out (I own them all... big surprise) and craving more. I should go get Sid Meier's Pirates! I've been dying to for ages but the problem is... I've been trying REALLY hard to save up for a nintendo DS ($150+) and I've got $100 of that saved in a nice little Ben Franklin bill which I'm refusing to break and so without that... I've got nothing (spent money on butterbeer for Laura and in order to get my own HBP copy I had to buy it myself and yet I still didn't get any chocolate frog cards! I need to do that...)
ANYWAYS, I'm doing what I often do in situations like these, I go and hang out online wishing that one certain specific friend was back from his model convention already.... In any case as my Dad took back his Civ3 game and I've got nothing to play but Pokemon (which is very un-piratey) QUIZZES!!!
