Quizzes Rock My World
May. 22nd, 2005 01:10 amSo Greg's in town :D I always love it when he comes :) And last night we went and saw Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy together and then earlier today I went to see Star Wars III with Nancy and company.... It wasn't NEARLY as emotional as I thought... I did sort of cry a few times but there was definitely something about the dialogue. I've heard time and time again from other Warsies all the complaints about Lucas not being able to write dialogues well but until this movie it really didn't hit me how very true that was. He's a creative genius and he's fantastic at scenery (which is easily one of the best parts of fantasy and perhaps one of the sole reasons I so much love anime and want to be a fantasy movie director) but the dialogue writing was awful.... :( I know there's a lot of pride that goes into it and I for one, no matter how bad I was could never ask someone to help ME write parts of my wriitng but seriously... he should have gotten some help. I still don't know about this whole Star Wars television show though... just doesn't seem like it could possibly work well without it being just a Star Trek wannabe. Plus, I have to HOPE he has plot-lines in mind but really... I just don't see it. Continuing with movies 7, 8, and 9 would have been so much better.
And I got One Piece book 3 last night but they didn't have book 4!! I was very distraught. Maybe I'll be able to get it tomorrow. And actually, the book only cost me about $6 (instead of 10 -- One Piece is only 8 because it's a Shonen Jump title and I had a coupon) so I might even be able to get 4 AND 5 :D :D :D I love One Piece. Watched the anime tonight on Toonami -- 4Kids version of course... it never ceases to amaze me how badly they mess things up. Oy vey.
Oh and another thing: Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe preview = FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D I sat there next to Nancy going, "Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg!!!" And just trying not to be too loud ;) So excited about it. Seriously. For ever massive Trekkie and LotR fantatic I am like DOUBLE that for Narnia Chronicles -- if only because C.S. Lewis is my hero and not enough people out there think that Narnia Chronicles is BETTER than LotR... even though it is. Seriously, MAD excited. I will be there opening night, with my brother (of course) and both of us will be wearing cloaks :D Let the geekiness rule the day.
Anyways, quiz time!!! Because my head is in MASSIVE amounts of pain (it started near the end of Star Wars) and I was playing Civ 3 but it's starting to annoy me. It's like somewhere along the line I actually started to do BETTER and now I'm doing horrible again blah
