As much of a "right" as it is, it's also a privelage that goes hand in hand with responsibility. If you don't have the responsibility to take care of yourself or your kids, those kids are taken away into protection from you. It's a very serious thing that too many people think is as simple as having sex. I don't believe in forced abortions under any circumstances, and being Catholic, I'm not about to agree with enforcing sterility. But someone who's addicted to drugs and alcohol so deeply it affects the pregnancy; or a father who abuses the kid or sells them into slavery -- those people completely lose the right to raise the kid.
This is why so many Americans are eager to adopt. There are more good parents than bad; but a lot of the good parents use birth control rather than the people who don't think that far ahead.
